Who loves Messenger Bags!?! *EDITED*

USA & Canada Only due to the weight of large bags. Sorry. =(

This swap is for a hand-made messenger (or satchel) bag, either knitted, crocheted or sewn. Either (or a mix of all three) is fine!

You will make one (1) bag for your one (1) partner! Please study their profile and make sure you make the bag according to their likes and dislikes. It must be a large bag (no smaller then 14 inches wide by 12 inches tall). I know, I know - THAT'S huge! But, that's the whole point of this swap. =] I know I can't be the only one who loves big bags to carry around all that stuff you just NEED to have with you at all times! Or you could just use the bag for a day outing, etc.

Anywho - The details in a nutshell:

• The bag must be hand-made.

• No smaller then 14" wide x 12" tall.

• Personalize it to your partner's likes.

• Atleast two (2) pockets.

• Add a small embellishment or two (i.e., a key-chain and maybe some lipgloss (OR) a notepad/pen set if it's for a man). Use your imagination.

• You can use a pattern for the bag seeing as it's not going to be sold.

• Be orginal. If you just have to follow a pattern, that's just peachy - do something with color or texture! =]

So, in other words, be original and crafty!

As for the yarn, you can use the cheapest (no fun fur or anything along those lines, though!) - just make sure it's soft and nice to touch. We don't like itchy bags. =]

Fabric choices are completely up to the swapper, but remember to try and make it something that your partner would like! =]

I'm giving everyone 2 months to make and send out their creations. If for some reason you don't think that's enough time, please don't sign up. I'm sure I'll do another in the near future. =]

(And remember; PLEASE rate your partner accordingly! If the item is in colors you're not fond of, don't give your partner a 3. Rate them on originality, how well done the handbag is, etc. If there's a problem, let me know before you leave bad feedback and ratings. If it arrives on time, is what you're expecting from the swap and includes extras - give them a heart! They deserve it!)
