This is an idea I have for an ongoing swap series, but I want to test drive it with one round.

For this swap:

1. Choose a card, notecard, or postcard. Write the date, your username, and DESTROY THIS CARD or DESTROY THIS POSTCARD! on it. You don't have to do this in an orderly way - this swap is about making a mess, so feel free to write it in the center of your card, or upside down, or whatever you like.

2. Self address and stamp an envelope. Put your DESTROY THIS CARD or POSTCARD inside, and do NOT seal it.

3. Put this envelope inside of another one, which you will seal, stamp, and mail to your partner. This way, they can send it back to you.

When you RECEIVE your swap:

1. Destroy their card! Burn the edges, poke holes in it, dip it in water, rip pieces off, scribble all over it, sky's the limit!

2. Write your own username and the date on the card. Feel free to add a short note, or let the damage speak for itself.

3. Seal it in their pre-stamped envelope, and put it in the mail

4. Rate and let them know when their destroyed mail is on its way

Because I can't manually assign partners and I will be trusting folks to destroy and send their card back to its owner, I'll be reaching out to anyone who signs up with unresolved 3s or 1s. Be patient with your partner sending it back and it arriving, but feel free to reach out to each other or to me if nothing shows up after several weeks, or your partner never rates saying they are mailing it back.

I just think it would be fun to do a swap about "ruining" things instead of making them nicer. Let's see how it goes!
