Words With Friends

If you have an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Android, chances are you have heard of the Words With Friends craze. Words With Friends is a multi-player, mobile word game. It challenges players to take turns building words crossword puzzle style with one or more friends, much like the popular board game Scrabble. Thanks to the internet, you can match word skills against random opponents. Up to 20 games can be played simultaneously using push notifications to alert players when it is their turn. It's basically Scrabble across the internet between you and your friends. I've been playing for a couple of months now, and it is truly a blast. There is a fully functioning free version (ad supported). I’m always looking for new friends to challenge and think that we could start our own craze here on SwapBot.
This is how we’ll do it: 1. If you have never played WWF you’ll need to sign up and create a user name. 2. You can find it on FaceBook or an App on your phone. 3. Sign up for the swap and when partners are assigned PM your partner to ask for their user name. 4. You will start a game with your partner before the deadline. 5. As a bonus, you can send a postcard to your partner after the game and share your thoughts about the game. This is not required, but I think it adds a personal touch. 6. Rate your partner when the game is over. Try to finish the game in no more than 7 days so that the ratings can be made in a timely manner. The game must be complete ny March 31st. Keep in mind that you can only have 20 games going at one time, so be sure to have 2 openings when your partner is assigned.
